West Bengal: Bus Passengers Thrashed Over Regional Identity

Kolkata: On Satur day, A group of people allegedly attacked the passengers of a bus over their regional identity. The passengers of the Patna-bound bus were attacked in the Bardhaman district of West Bengal. 

Report says, the bus had stopped at a hotel near the Bardhaman district when the incident took place. The bus was coming from West Bengal and had a number plate of Bihar.

One of the victims alleged that a group of men hurled slurs at them based on their regional identity. The accused were allegedly consuming alcohol. It was also alleged that the accused beat up the bus driver and the cleaner. Several passengers were injured in the incident.
