India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was seen grinding it out in the nets on Wednesday as he sharpened his skills with both bat and ball in training, ahead of the Boxing Day Test which starts from December 26.

Jadeja spent long hours in the nets, suggesting he return in India's playing XI for the Boxing Day Test match. Jadeja had missed the final two T20Is and the first Test due to a concussion and a hamstring injury suffered during the first T20I. Notably, Jadeja has bagged 213 wickets at an impressive average of 24.6 in 49 Tests. Jadeja has scored also 1869 runs in the longest format at a decent average of 35.3.

India are under a spot of bother now as they will be without Virat Kohli after an 8-wicket horror loss in Adelaide. Ajinkya Rahane will lead the side in Kohli's absence in the remainder of the Test series. Kohli looked in good touch in the first innings as he hit a solid 74 before being run-out after a bad mix-up with vice-captain Rahane.

India have been tight-lipped about changes to the playing XI after the 8-wicket loss in Adelaide wherein India were bundled out for their lowest Test score of 36 in the 2nd innings. Quite a few, including Prithvi Shaw and Wriddhiman Saha, are under pressure as there is competition for their spots.
