A 21-year-old woman allegedly hacked a man, believed to be her lover, to death with a sword in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The brutal murder took place on a busy road between Kapavaram and Dharmavaram villages in Kovvur zone of the West Godavari district on Monday evening.
The deceased, 22-year-old Tataji Naidu, a resident of Thadepalligudem was attacked by Pavani, resident of Malakapalli village, with a sword while he driving a bike in the West Godavari district.
She hacked him to death with the sword and remained at the spot. After this, she surrendered in front of the police.
Police said, Pavani was found holding a sword in public and talking on the phone. She allegedly killed him as she was fed up of "harassment" by the victim.
Both the accused and the victim were in a relationship since intermediate school days. Recently, the man started to ignore the woman and was also not willing to marry her. He was also harassing the woman for money.
