On Tuesday, The farmer unions refused to attend the first meeting of the Supreme Court-appointed panel to resolve their stalemate with the government over the controversial farm laws. Farmers are sticking on repealing the farm laws.

"We don't know, we're not going (to first meeting of SC-formed committee). Nobody from the agitation approached Court. The govermment brought the Bill through Ordinance, it was tabled in the House. It'll go back the same route it came from," said Rakesh Tikait of Bharatiya Kisan Union.

The Supreme Court had on January 11 stayed the implementation of the three laws, against which farmers are protesting at Delhi borders for over 50 days now, till further orders and appointed a four-member panel to resolve the impasse.
