Delhi Police has issued a lookout notice against two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar. The notice was issued late on Sunday evening, after Kumar failed to appear before the Investigating Officer (IO). Police teams were carrying out raids on possible hideouts in Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh (UP).

Kumar, who has been named in the First Information Report in the case, is on the run and efforts are on to trace him. Raids were being conducted in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring States to nab him, a senior official had said earlier. The victims, in their statement before the police, have alleged that Kumar was present when the clash took place. The 23-year-old wrestler Sagar and two of his friends were assaulted by other wrestlers inside the Chhatrasal Stadium last Tuesday. Sagar was rushed to hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries later on, a police official said.

Investigations have revealed that the brawl involved Kumar, Ajay, Prince Dalal, Sonu, Sagar, Amit and a few others who are yet to be identified. A case was registered under Sections 302, 365, 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act at the Model Town Police Station.

Police had recovered two double barrel guns, seven live cartridges, two sticks and five cars from the spot. Dalal (24), a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana, has been arrested and his interrogation has revealed certain facts pertaining to the conspiracy that was hatched to attack Sagar.
