Juvenile Likely Dead, Says Police Chief
Washington: Multiple people, including a Metropolitan Police Department officer, were injured in a shooting incident in Washington DC on Monday.
As per report, the shooting occurred at the Moechella event, which was being held without permission. The injured include two adults, a 15-year-old and a police officer. The juvenile is deceased, while the other injured are undergoing treatment. Several people were injured, legs and ankles trampled as they were fleeing the area.
Contee said that it appears a handgun was used in the shooting. However, there was no exchange of gunfire.
The Metropolitan Police Department also said a separate incident at the Moechella concert, where a fight was broken up and the MPD shut down the event as it appeared to be unsafe.
