Locals Ask To Show Identity Cards Before Entering Srimandir

Puri: The law and order situation returned to normalcy. The locals can enter through other three gates of Srimandir after showing identity cards, said Puri Collector Jyoti Prakash Das.
A five-member peace committee meeting comprising of Inspector General (IG), Superintendent of Police under the chairmanship of Puri Collector was held here in the evening to restore normalcy in the Pilgrim City.
When asked about the morning violence in the city, Das said that the CCTV footage of the whole violence and vandalism are being reviewed by the police under the supervision of IG.
He further said that the Sri Jagannath Sena convenor Priyadarshan Pattnaik, who was detained earlier in the morning, will be released and strict actions will be taken against those found guilty in the violence.
