MBA Graduate Arrested For Duping Rs 25 Lakh

Khurda: An MBA graduate was arrested from an apartment near Janla yesterday by Khurda Industrial Area Outpost Police on charges of duping Rs 25 lakh in the name of providing admission to a student in a government-run medical college.
The accused, identified as Pradosh Dash of Naugaon area in Jagatsinghpur district. It said that he duped people by assuring in getting jobs in different public and private companies. He often assured people to help in medical admissions.
It alleged that Dash took Rs 25 lakh from Trilochan Barik of Markatnagar in Cuttack town with a assurance of providing a medical seat to his son. When Barik’s son failed to get admission in any of the medical colleges, he lodged a complaint with police.
Following Dash’s arrest, police seized his belongings worth over Rs 30 lakh including a car, one bike, LED TV, computer, printer, two branded mobile phones and four luxury watches.
