Naveen Promotes Partymen As Middle man In Paddy Procurement

Bargarh: BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik encourages party workers to work as middle man in paddy procurement in Odisha. Bargarh has witnessed massive irregularities in the paddy procurement accusing ‘middlemen involvement’ of preparing forged documents in the name of farmers.
It is alleged, the middlemen get Identity card as farmers on basis of documents submitted by the peasants to the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
The middlemen are purchasing paddy from farmers at cheaper rates and selling them to cooperative societies through fake identity cards.
Bargarh administration official Dibakar Bhoi said that cultivated farmland of farmers should only be registered with the cooperative societies. Is it not the responsibilites of the Govt. Officers to find out about the irregularities going on paddy procurement? Govt. officers are waiting for complain. Who will complain and why as if all these irregularities are carried on by Govt. employees.
