Hundreds Of Skeletal Remains Found Behind SKMCH in Bihar

Patna: An inspection of the surroundings of Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar has led to shocking developments. On Saturday, hundreds of human skeletal remains were found behind the hospital where 108 people have died due to Acute Encephalitis-related deaths. Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital along with the Kejriwal Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur are at the centre of a colossal public healthcare failure which has claimed over 172 lives in the state of Bihar.

Following reports about the discovery of skeletal remains behind the hospital, an investigation team comprising senior doctors visited the spot. Dr Vipin Kumar of SKMCH confirmed that officials found skeletal remains in the area behind the hospital but said that a detailed report in this regard will be furnished by the Principal of SKMCH.

The Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital has been at the centre of discourse after multiple reports of medical apathy at the state-run hospital surfaced in the wake of the deaths of more than 100 people, mostly children under the age of 10, due to Acute Encephalitis.
