Exit Polls Reflect RJD-led Alliance
It will be a tight race between the NDA and the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan with the latter having an edge in Bihar, exit polls have predicted soon after the third and final phase of polling for the 243-member Assembly concluded Friday. Some exit polls are also indicating a hung house. While none of the polls give LJP significant numbers, in case of a hung Assembly, Chirag Paswan could become crucial for either alliance to come to power.
The third phase voting for the 243-member Bihar Assembly concluded at 6 pm. The majority mark is 122.
The first phase of voting took place on October 28 and the second phase on November 3. The results will be declared on November 10. An election exit poll is a poll of voters taken soon after a voter walks out after casting his or her vote. It is considered as an indicator to which party forms the government.

In the 2015 election, the JD(U) was part of the Mahagathbandhan. The ruling NDA alliance faces a stiff challenge from the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance). Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan’s LJP has decided to go alone in the elections, fighting against the JD(U). However, it has been consistent on continuing to be part of the BJP-led NDA at the Centre.
