11 Swept Away While Bathing In Shivpuri Waterfall In MP, Rescue Underways

Gwalior: At least eleven youths washed away while bathing in a popular waterfall due to sudden release of water from a dam in Gwalior, shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh.

The tragic took place on Wednesday. Shocking visuals of incident show people shouting for help and many stranded on rocks in the middle of the water stream. there is a heavy current in water.There was a sudden surge in the water around 4.30 PM. Police said, due to heavy rain upstream, catching those bathing near the waterfall unawares.

11 people swept away which bathing in the stream near the waterfall, believed to be dead. A massive search for them is on.

Police rescued 45 people by a helicopter from Sultan Garh Waterfalls in Gwalior’s Shivpuri- popular picnic spot.
