Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal (BoB) & neighbourhood, which is likely to trigger rainfall across Odisha till August 21, the Regional Meteorological Centre said today.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal-Odisha coasts, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood. Associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. It is likely to become more marked during next 24 hours, India Meteorological Department said.
