India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is not concerned about the leadership role as he said that right now Virat Kohli is India's captain and he is thinking about the first Test match, helping his skipper.

Virat Kohli will be heading back to India on paternity leave after the series opener - day-night fixture in Adelaide. Kohli, who led India to the T20I series victory in Australia, will be with his wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma for the birth of their first child.

I believe staying in the moment and present. Right now, Virat is our captain. We think about this Test match and then after that when he leaves, we will think. So for me, it is about this Test match, helping Virat out and then taking it forward. This was the voice of Ajinkya Rahane to media people.

Rahane believes the visitors have a good quality of adapting to situations and even challenging wickets as they did in the first two Tests during the previous tour.

"Definitely it is a challenge. The ball behaves differently during the day and behaves differently once the lights are on. So as a batsman I think the focus will be the key. As long as you can focus as a batsman...communication will be the key among the two batters. Batting in the twilight period, those 40-50 minutes will be the key. If you bat well in that situation it will be good. Overall it was a good outing in the day-night warm-up (at the Sydney Cricket Ground). The start will be the key in the Test," Ajinkya Rahane said.
